This weeks run will have only two official water stops. Both at the skating rink in the north end.   the route is designed to take runners by the several water fountains on the river.  The BAC will be open but there will not be a board member there to hand out cue sheets  so PRINT YOUR OWN SHEET nor will there be an official water stop and clean up crew.  Unless someone running wants to take this on.  SO bring your own water and please be sure the BAC is spotless when you leave.  These changes had to be made because of the high volume of members doing the Falmouth Road Race.

BROADWAY TO THE PRUDENTIAL

This Sunday’s run will depart at 8:00am from the South Boston Neighborhood House located at 136 H Street (on the corner of H and East 6th Street). Doors open at 7:30. The route will make a loop out through South Boston toward the Pru & Public Garden and back to the SBNH (approx. 10 miles). Meet inside the Marina Bay Sandwich Shop; entrance faces the north/south  portion of Victory Road – look for the trellis. The route has a total ascent of 290 ft and has a maximum elevation of 88 ft.   • Suggested arrival time is 6:45am. Doors open at 6:30am.

  • There will be tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and pastries after the run.
  • Massage Works was unavailable for us to reserve, so there will be no massages available.

This Sunday’s run departs at 8:00am from the McKeon Post. Approx. 13 miles. There will be three water stops; approx. miles 3, 5.8, and 8.6; plus inside the Post after the run. Please take note:Bathrooms will not be available before the run. There are port-o-potties in Pope John Paul II Park, but please plan ahead.Cate will have cue sheets available in the parking lot before the run. Please take one from her even if you think you know where you’re going. Every year someone gets lost on this route!Water stop/host facility opening money will be collected after the run inside of the McKeon Post.Please do not park in the lot directly next to the entrance. HOPKINTON TO BC (22 MI.); ASHLAND TO BC (20 MI.)​

Group run departing the Flynn Recreation Center at Boston College by bus to the Boston Marathon start line in Hopkinton, 22 miles. Stay on the bus to Ashland for a 20 mile run.
Buses leave BC’s Flynn Recreation Center at 7:20 AM Suggested arrival time is 6:45 AM. Doors open at 7 AMGive yourself plenty of time to park, check-in, get your hand stamp and sign BC’s insurance release to use their facility.BC’s Flynn Recreation Center – GPS address 140 Commonwealth Avenue, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467Parking at BC is no longer free.
